North West law firm Woodcocks Haworth & Nuttall (WHN) Solicitors has appointed Alex Walsh as commercial property director.

Alex brings more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property law, having previously held partner roles at Clarke Willmott and Prosperity Law.

He specialises in acquisitions and disposals, leases and licences, estate management and corporate support.

Based at WHN’s Bury office, Alex will advise clients across Greater Manchester and Lancashire including owner-managed businesses, investors, banks and charities.

Alex said: “The success of any law firm is built on how its team operates – both with clients and with each other.

“I was already aware of WHN’s strong reputation for client relationships but since I began speaking with the firm, I’ve been struck by the professional, friendly and collaborative way that the team works together to deliver the very best service possible – something I’m excited to be part of.”

Alex’s appointment follows other recent senior hires and promotions at the firm as it continues to strengthen its legal team.

Michael Shroot, chief executive of WHN Solicitors, added: “As WHN continues to grow our presence across the North West, the recruitment and development of senior legal experts who truly understand the region is vital across all services.

“Alex has advised businesses, investors and other stakeholders in the region’s commercial property market for over two decades, developing the deep long-term relationships that drive sustainable growth.

“This experience and knowledge will benefit both our clients and our staff as we continue to expand over the coming years.”
