MTN Ghana Takes Healthcare to the Frontline with Y’ello Care 2026

MTN Ghana is set to channel the power of employee volunteerism into improving healthcare delivery across the country as it launches the 2026 edition of its flagship Y’ello Care campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare in underserved communities.

The campaign, which runs from June 1 to June 21, will see MTN employees undertake a series of health-focused interventions designed to support struggling health facilities and bring essential healthcare services closer to vulnerable populations.

Under the theme “Expand Equitable Health for Every Community,” this year’s Y’ello Care campaign places healthcare at the centre of MTN Ghana’s community engagement efforts, responding to persistent challenges that continue to limit access to medical services in many parts of the country.

A major component of the initiative will involve the donation of new hospital beds and the refurbishment of damaged ones for selected healthcare facilities, helping to improve patient care and strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

The campaign will also feature community health outreach programmes, public health screenings, digital health awareness initiatives, telemedicine-supported services, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activities aimed at promoting healthier communities.

According to MTN Ghana, the initiative seeks to address barriers that prevent many people especially women, children, young people, and residents of remote communities from accessing timely and quality healthcare.

The telecommunications giant believes that technology and connectivity can play a transformative role in healthcare delivery and intends to leverage its digital platforms to support health education, disease prevention, and improved access to care.

Speaking ahead of the campaign, Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of mtn.com.gh, said the company remains committed to creating meaningful social impact through initiatives that directly respond to community needs.

“Y’ello Care reflects our belief that meaningful progress begins with meeting communities where they are. We are focusing our efforts on expanding access to quality healthcare, particularly in communities where it remains out of reach for many,” she stated.

She further explained that MTN’s unique strengths in connectivity, digital innovation, and partnerships position the company to contribute significantly to efforts aimed at making healthcare more inclusive and sustainable.

Since its inception nearly two decades ago, Y’ello Care has evolved into one of Ghana’s most recognised corporate volunteer programmes, with thousands of MTN employees dedicating their time and expertise to projects that improve lives and support national development.

This year’s campaign is expected to deepen that impact by tackling healthcare inequalities and supporting efforts to build resilient communities capable of accessing and benefiting from quality healthcare services.

Through Y’ello Care 2026, MTN Ghana is not only delivering support to health facilities but also reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in the pursuit of better health and sustainable development.
