A massive cloud of smoke can be seen rising into the sky.

At the centre of the commotion, a large fire is visibly raging.

Bahrain’s Ministry of the Interior confirmed the attack on social media.

“One facility in Maameer was targeted, and the relevant authorities are handling the incident,” it said in a post.

The Ministry said flames have since been brought under control and that nobody was injured.

“The fire broke out in one of the facilities in Ma’ameer, which was targeted by the Iranian aggression, has been brought under control,” it said.

“Limited material damage was reported, with no loss of life.”

Ma’ameer is home to the Bahrain Petroleum Company refinery, as well as other factories that produce various materials such as concrete and asphalt.

The refinery – run by Bahrain’s state oil company Bapco – is located on Bahrain’s east coast, south of the capital Manama.

It has a maximum production capacity of 267,000 barrels of oil per day and storage capacity for up to 14 million barrels.

Bahrain is one of several Gulf countries to be targeted by Iran in a bombing blitz.

The Islamic Republic is carrying out a campaign of retaliation after joint US-Israeli strikes took out Ayatollah Khamenei on Saturday.

Tehran has responded with retaliatory attacks across US bases in the Middle East.

The first UK evacuation flight for Brits stranded in the region has left Oman, with a further seven flights due to leave the UAE today.

Militants from several Kurdish Iranian factions reportedly launched a ground offensive last night in a bid to topple Iran’s mullahs.

The militias are backed by Mossad and the CIA, US and Israeli officials told Axios.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has declared Iran “toast” and stated the US is “winning decisively” in “Operation Epic Fury”.
