The Norm Bangkok has appointed Hampus Thunholm, the founder of Röda Huset in Stockholm, as director of food and beverage.

Thunholm left cocktail bar Röda Huset in January 2026, when he said: “Working here has been one of the most defining chapters of my career. I’ve had the privilege to grow alongside an exceptional team, to push Scandinavian flavour in new directions, and to welcome guests from all over the world who have trusted us with their evenings.
“Röda Huset has never just been a bar to me – it has been a creative home, a laboratory, and a family.”
He will oversee the full creative and operational direction at The Norm, a newly opened social club and rooftop bar on the 42nd floor of the Dusit Central Park office tower in Bangkok.
Thunholm said: “The first time I stepped into The Norm, it was love at first sight. The place is truly extraordinary, and it’s going to be incredibly exciting and challenging in the best possible way to create a new landmark in Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife scene together with the team.
“Having the opportunity to work with some of the finest ingredients I’ve encountered in my life feels incredibly inspiring, and being able to do it in a high-volume bar environment makes it even more special. The chance to share the flavours of Thailand alongside Scandinavian precision and craftsmanship in a setting like this feels truly extraordinary.”
