Goodwill Entertainment Announces Landmark Regional Expansion into Malaysia

Key Highlights for Investors

  • First Overseas Foray: Goodwill Entertainment Holding Limited (SGX: GEH) is embarking on its first significant expansion outside Singapore with a 70%-owned joint venture in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • Flagship Venue Launch: The flagship multi-entertainment outlet will be launched at The Arch Galeries, a prime location on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, on 25 April 2026.
  • Large-Scale Facility: The 27,800 sqft outlet will feature a 13,500 sqft live performance space and 15 VIP KTV rooms spanning 14,300 sqft, combining premium entertainment with high-quality F&B offerings.
  • Strategic Partnership: The joint venture, Have Fun KL Sdn. Bhd., is 70% owned by Goodwill (via Have Fun Lite Pte. Ltd.) and 30% by Malaysian partner HF Entertainment Sdn. Bhd., which brings extensive local market experience and industry knowledge.
  • Media Preview and Launch Timeline: Media preview events are set for 17 and 18 April 2026, ahead of the official public opening on 25 April 2026.

Details and Strategic Rationale

Goodwill Entertainment’s expansion into Malaysia marks a pivotal step in the company’s Southeast Asian growth strategy, targeting the region’s rising demand for premium, immersive entertainment offerings. By partnering with HF Entertainment Sdn. Bhd.—whose deep expertise in Malaysia’s entertainment and F&B sectors is expected to accelerate market penetration—Goodwill is positioning itself to create an additional revenue stream and enhance the Group’s business sustainability.

The Kuala Lumpur flagship will be located at No. 428, Jalan Tun Razak, The Arch Galeries, a prime and high-traffic location. The venue’s ground floor will be dedicated to live shows and performances (approx. 13,500 sqft), while the upper floor will feature 15 upscale VIP KTV rooms (approx. 14,300 sqft). This approach brings together the Group’s successful Singapore concepts—including signature karaoke, live concerts, and F&B—under one roof, tailored for the Malaysian market.

Potential Shareholder Value and Price Sensitivity

  • Geographical Diversification: This is Goodwill Entertainment’s first step towards regional expansion and could signal the beginning of a scalable framework for further growth in Southeast Asia. If successful, this model may be replicated in other markets, potentially boosting long-term shareholder value.
  • Revenue Stream Expansion: By tapping into Malaysia’s vibrant entertainment scene, Goodwill aims to diversify its revenue base beyond Singapore, which reduces reliance on a single market and increases resilience against local market risks.
  • Brand Positioning and Market Leadership: The move strengthens Goodwill’s brand as a regional leader in multi-entertainment offerings, leveraging its proven concepts and operational expertise.
  • Value Creation: The collaboration combines Goodwill’s established operational playbook with HF Entertainment’s local insights, which is expected to deliver high-quality, personalised experiences that could drive strong customer adoption and revenue growth.

Company Outlook and Management Commentary

Mr. Flint Lu, Chairman and CEO of Goodwill Entertainment, stated: “We are excited to bring our proven entertainment concepts to Kuala Lumpur with the launch of our first flagship regional venue. Malaysia’s vibrant entertainment culture and strong demand for premium, immersive experiences make it an ideal market to kick-off our geographic expansion. By partnering with HFE, we’re combining our operational expertise with deep local market knowledge to deliver the high-quality, personalised entertainment experiences that our brand is known for. This launch establishes a scalable framework for further growth across Southeast Asia, and we’re confident it will create substantial value for our shareholders whilst bringing innovative entertainment concepts to Malaysian audiences.”

About Goodwill Entertainment Holding Limited

Founded in Singapore in 2016, Goodwill Entertainment has built a reputation for innovative, multi-entertainment concepts. Its brands—such as “HaveFun Family Karaoke”, “FATEbyhavefun”, and “HaveFun LiveShow”—cater to a wide demographic, offering karaoke, immersive dance clubs, live entertainment, and unique F&B options. With 11 karaoke outlets and flagship venues in Singapore, Goodwill is now poised to expand its footprint into Southeast Asia, starting with Malaysia.
