How are Zebra Technologies & Aiva Powering Hand-Free Nurses?

“This partnership with Aiva is a milestone in our commitment to clinician well-being.

“By combining Aiva’s intuitive voice assistant with our purpose-built healthcare devices, we are creating a truly hands-free experience that reduces administrative tasks and gives nurses back valuable time at the bedside.”

Through simple voice commands, clinicians can document patient information directly into systems like Epic and Oracle Health, submit work orders via ServiceNow and access clinical policies in real time.

The platform also supports voice-initiated interpretation services through providers such as LanguageLine and AMN Healthcare.

This functionality can significantly reduces documentation time and administrative workload, enabling nurses to focus more on direct patient care.

Built for demanding healthcare environments

Zebra’s healthcare devices are engineered to help meet the demands of clinical settings, offering durability, security and ergonomic design.

When paired with Aiva’s voice technology, these devices facilitate fast, low-latency interactions while maintaining compliance with healthcare data standards.

The hands-free capabilities can be valuable in situations where clinicians are wearing gloves or performing procedures, minimising interruptions and enhancing workflow continuity.

Together, these technologies help reduce incidental overtime and improve both staff efficiency and patient experience.

“Nurses are our healthcare superheroes, but for years hospitals have overburdened them with new systems while focusing on streamlining the work of physicians,” says Sumeet Bhatia, Aiva Founder and CEO.
