Kerry Boyle has joined the Stoke-based practice from Beeston Shenton Solicitors in Newcastle-under-Lyme, having previously worked at North Staffordshire firm Tinsdills Solicitors for more than 20 years.

She brings over 23 years’ experience of commercial property law and, during her career, has been a director, head of department, branch manager and principal to trainees and paralegals.

Kerry advises on a wide range of matters, including landlord and tenant issues, development agreements, option and pre-emption agreements, sales and purchases of commercial properties, bridging finance, plot sales, leases and remortgages, property portfolios, HMO purchases and sales, and auction transactions.

In her role at Myers & Co, she is leading and supporting the growth and development of the team, which handles a varied caseload, while also focusing on expanding the firm’s client base.

Established in 2005, Myers & Co has nearly 50 staff and advises clients across Staffordshire and the wider West Midlands region.

It is a full-service practice with specialists in dispute resolution, corporate and commercial work, residential and commercial property, civil litigation, employment, family law and private client matters such as wills, legal powers of attorney, Court of Protection and legacy arrangements.

The firm is part of MAPD Group, which was founded by Brian Cullen and Joanna Kingston-Davies in 2020 to power the growth of local law firms nationally through acquisition. The initials stand for Making a Positive Difference.

Tim Newsome, managing director of Myers & Co, said: “What struck me when I first met Kerry was how she clearly cares about her clients and how enthusiastic she is about supporting and developing junior talent – which fits exactly with what we believe is important at Myers & Co.

“Alongside that, Kerry brings vast experience, great technical expertise and strong leadership skills, making her ideally suited to lead our commercial property team.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome her to the firm, and look forward to seeing her take the department forward.”

Kerry said: “My values and those of Myers & Co are closely aligned – putting our clients’ needs first while ensuring the whole team supports and develops each individual to maximise everyone’s strengths.

“I’m extremely excited to be part of a firm that promotes career development through first-class training so that we can continue to provide the excellent client service that Myers & Co has done for the last 20 years.

“I’m eagerly looking forward to what is to come, and what we can achieve together.”
