Punjab Launches 90-Day Land Dispute Resolution for Property Protection

The Punjab government has approved a new ordinance to fast-track land dispute cases, ensuring that such cases will no longer drag on for years. Under the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Ordinance 2025, all land grab cases will be decided within 90 days by a Dispute Resolution Committee.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired the meeting where the ordinance was approved. The new law sets a target to make Dispute Resolution Committees functional in every district within 30 days.

Maryam Nawaz declared that no one will be able to seize another person’s land in Punjab anymore. “The state stands with every vulnerable citizen,” she said. The chief minister emphasized her mission to deliver justice, convenience, and employment to every citizen at their doorstep.

In a separate meeting, Maryam Nawaz discussed development projects and public service agendas with members of the assembly and ticket holders from Faisalabad Division.
