Movable property of habitual bovine smuggler attached

UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: Udhampur Police has attached moveable property worth Rs 8 lakhs belonging to a habitual bovine smuggler.
An Auto Load Carrier, bearing registration number JK14J-1423, owned by Imran Khan, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Tharad Bali Nallah, Udhampur, has been attached under Section 107(5) BNSS by the order of the Court of JMIC Chenani.
The said vehicle was found involved in case FIR No. 97/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act at Police Station Chenani.
During investigation, the IO conducted a detailed inquiry covering multiple aspects. Based on the criminal history and financial investigation of the accused, it was revealed that the said vehicle had been procured through illegally acquired money.
Accordingly, Udhampur Police attached the offending vehicle under Section 107(5) BNSS.
Cumulatively, this is the 10th vehicle attached by Udhampur Police in such cases, with the total worth reaching Rs 1.31 crore.
