eXp UK announces launch of new commercial division

“The launch of the commercial offering is a landmark moment, not just for our business but for the wider industry. For the first time, agents will have the chance to operate across both the residential and commercial property sectors under a single, comprehensive platform, giving them true flexibility to meet client needs across the market”
– Adam Day – eXp UK

Self-employed estate agency platform, eXp UK, has launched its commercial property division, becoming the first UK platform to offer both residential and commercial services under a single model.

The move builds on eXp UK’s rapid expansion in the residential market, where its self-employed model has already changed how agents operate.

By extending this approach to commercial property, eXp UK aims to give agents the chance to develop their own businesses while retaining more of their earnings, supported by training, technology, and a global community.

The launch coincides with a period of sustained growth in the commercial property sector.

Latest data shows the UK commercial real estate agency industry has expanded by 56% over the last decade (2014 to 2024), with annual revenue forecast to reach £8.1bn in 2025, following year-on-year growth of 8.2%.

Despite this expansion, the sector has largely remained dominated by traditional firms.

eXp UK’s commercial services will cover office, retail, industrial, land, and mixed-use property, providing dedicated resources and training for agents.

The move positions eXp as the UK’s most comprehensive agent platform, combining independence with the support of a global brand.

Agents in the commercial division can benefit from eXp’s commission structure, keeping 70% of earnings, increasing to 100% for top performers.

The division will be led by Head of eXp UK Commercial, Rob Jones (pictured), a veteran of both national and international property firms.

Rob began his career as a national sales director for a corporate business brokerage, later serving as CEO and managing director at two national companies. He then advised the master franchise owner of Remax England and Wales on commercial transactions.

Head of eXp UK Commercial, Rob Jones, commented: “We are giving ambitious and driven commercial real estate agents the opportunity to build their own business as part of eXp Commercial here in the UK, as well as joining an international business.

“I have worked in this part of the sector, as well as lectured on the subject, and this is a unique opportunity to combine my entrepreneurial spirit with my passion for commercial property and bring a truly disruptive commercial offering to the UK market.”

“The business we are building has to be seen to be believed. It isn’t just industry-leading tools, technology, marketing, training and support – it’s industry-defining.”

Adam Day, head of eXp UK and Europe, added, “The launch of the commercial offering is a landmark moment, not just for our business but for the wider industry. For the first time, agents will have the chance to operate across both the residential and commercial property sectors under a single, comprehensive platform, giving them true flexibility to meet client needs across the market.”

“The commercial property sector has grown substantially in the last decade, but the traditional agency model has left many agents unable to fully benefit from this momentum.”

“At eXp UK, we’re changing that by enabling commercial agents to take control of their business, maximise their earnings, and access the same cutting-edge support, training, and technology that has already transformed the residential sector. What’s more, our global community will allow them to fully maximise interest in UK commercial property on a global scale, not just a domestic one.”
