Data connectivity specialist builds commercial property links

An innovative North East data connectivity firm is passing on its expertise to partners nationwide as a key member of one of the UK’s foremost business collectives.

Newcastle-based Fuse Media offers industry-leading advice to members of the Commercial Property Network (CPN).

And the 33-strong association of like-minded businesses benefits from round-the-clock guidance from Fuse’s experienced senior team.

“We are extremely proud to be a CPN Network Partner and we’ve already been able to impact positively on the work its members undertake across the country,” explains Fuse Media’s founder and director Jamie Mableson.

“We’ve been working with the CPN for three years now and towards the end of last year we attended the annual Members and Guests networking lunch at the Royal Automobile Club in London’s Pall Mall.

“We were one of seven Network Partners invited to what was a fun and informal event that nevertheless allowed us to demonstrate how we can help firms in the commercial property sector.

“I like to think that we’ve forged a strong reputation regionally and nationally and our senior management team has decades of collective experience when it comes to finding practical solutions for landlords.

“Intelligent data connectivity solutions, high-impact digital advertising screens and helping firms achieve business rates savings are at the heart of what we do and we’re perfectly placed to assist the CPN’s progressive network.”

Formerly known as PAI, the CPN was established more than 50 years ago to offer expertise to organisations looking to maximise the management of their commercial property assets.

Offering 14 services, it advises on commercial investment, building consultancy, property management and more. Clients can access personalised support from firms keen to leverage their local know-how and national reach.

Network Partners add to the depth and breadth of the CPN’s services and Jamie adds: “It feels good to be flying the flag for Newcastle and playing a part in the growth of the commercial property sector across the UK.

“The CPN’s new CEO is Fergus Laird from Naylors Gavin Black. To be working alongside the North East’s largest independent property consultancy at a national level is invaluable for a firm like Fuse.

“We’re an ambitious business with plans to grow throughout 2026 and partnerships like this put us at the heart of key conversations around commercial property and help us to understand the needs of like-minded firms.”

Fergus is delighted to count Fuse as a member and feels the creation of the CEO role underpins the CPN’s commitment to maximising members’ potential.

“It enables us to provide stronger support and more structure for our members, ensuring that we build on the incredible progress the network has made in recent years,” he adds.

Fergus’s appointment was confirmed at the same time that Samantha Johnson, of South West-based chartered surveyors Vickery Holman, was named President of the CPN.

She adds: “The CPN has a proud history of collaboration and professionalism and we’re entering a phase of real opportunity. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s focused on driving growth, supporting our members and continuing to raise the network’s national profile.”
