Lian Li Launches Platinum Certified SX PSU Series

Lian Li has announced its new SX Series power supply lineup—Platinum-rated units designed to deliver high efficiency, long-term stability, and next-generation connectivity. The series launches in 850 W, 1000 W, and 1200 W capacities, all certified 80 Plus Platinum with peak efficiency up to 92%. Positioned for modern high-performance systems, the SX Series is fully compliant with Intel ATX 3.1 and includes a native PCIe Gen 5.1 12V-2×6 cable capable of supplying up to 600 W directly to next-gen GPUs.

Every SX model is built to meet the latest power delivery standards. Beyond its Platinum efficiency rating—which helps reduce waste heat and improve system thermals—the SX Series adheres to Intel’s ATX 3.1 spec, bringing improved transient load handling and durability standards. For graphics card support, the new 12V-2×6 connector delivers up to 600 W without adapters, while 1000 W and 1200 W units include a 12V-2×6 to dual 6+2-pin cable for powering additional PCIe devices. Lian Li is clearly positioning the SX Series as “future-ready” for the coming generations of NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Cooling is managed by a 120 mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan, optimized for low noise and longevity. A dedicated switch on the PSU’s rear panel enables or disables the Zero RPM fanless mode, giving users control over acoustics depending on system layout and airflow.

Internally, Lian Li uses 100% Japanese 105°C capacitors, ensuring long-term reliability under sustained heavy loads. A single high-amperage +12 V rail design helps maintain stable power delivery to power-hungry GPUs and multi-core CPUs—essential for modern systems that experience rapid transient spikes. Aesthetically, the SX Series embraces Lian Li’s clean, modern design language with an embossed mesh exterior that subtly improves airflow while maintaining visual appeal. The unit ships with fully modular braided-texture cables, improving both flexibility and build cleanliness.

To safeguard components, the PSU includes an industrial-grade protection suite:
OPP, OVP, SCP, OCP, OTP, UVP, SIP, and NLP.
These protections ensure system stability even during voltage irregularities, sudden load changes, or thermal issues.

All models are backed by a 10-year warranty, which is now the industry baseline for premium PSU designs. The Lian Li SX Series launches November 13th, 2025, in black (white variant coming later, per early distributor notes).
