Staggering amount of money Andrew could make if he wrote royal book | Royal | News

After causing one of the biggest royal scandals in living memory, it seems Andrew could still have one more card up his sleeve. Despite reports that Andrew has assured his brother, King Charles, that he won’t “pull a Harry” and pen an explosive memoir similar to Spare, it seems he could make a small fortune if he did so.

With Prince Harry being given £15million to share his side of the story in 2023, the Daily Mail has suggested Andrew could receive as much as £25million for putting pen to paper. The paper quoted a literary agent, saying: “We’re looking at maybe £25 million. With the right ghost-writer asking him the right questions, we could see the history of the House of Windsor completely rewritten with what he knows. He’s a time-bomb waiting to explode.”

However, if he were to go ahead with a memoir, there is one thing he would have to be careful to avoid.

A publishing executive told the paper: “Obviously, everyone wants the inside track on his time with Epstein… in those circumstances, he might be prepared to talk, in broad terms, about his involvement with Epstein, simply to get his side of the story across.”

Airing caution about what Andrew would have to avoid, the source went on: “But he has to be careful his words don’t incriminate him. The Democrats in the US Congress have asked Andrew to appear before them, and now he no longer has royal immunity, he’d have to tread very, very carefully. But he must be dying to say something in order to salvage his professional reputation.”

Andrew has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing. Last week, he failed to respond to the deadline from Democrats on the Congressional House Oversight Committee to speak with them about Jeffrey Epstein. “Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s silence in the face of the Oversight Democrat’s demand for testimony speaks volumes,” a statement released on behalf of Congressmen Robert Garcia and Suhas Subramanyam read.

The comments about whether Andrew could be swayed to tell his side of the story come after the Express revealed that his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, could also make millions if she were to write a tell-all memoir.

The source claimed: “For the first time in a good while, she is now seriously worried about how on earth she’s going to maintain her lifestyle. She’s too toxic to touch for every single brand and charity she’d previously worked with, and even the lavish freebies she used to be gifted have stopped.”

They went on: “With no substantial income coming in, Sarah is now looking to follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry and is willing to pen a tell-all memoir about her time with Andrew and how she was treated by the Royal Family after their split.

“She has a lot of diaries and evidence of the backstabbing, scandals and cover-ups. For the right amount of money, she is willing to spill everything, but she’s hoping to make enough money that it will give her a nice little nest egg for the rest of her life. She wants somewhere in the region of £10million and is actively open to offers.”
