A woman was taken to hospital
Police made a money laundering arrest after a crash left a woman in hospital. Cops and paramedics had been called to the collision in Congleton on Saturday morning.
Cheshire Police say officers found a collision between a Volkswagen Golf and a Mini Cooper at the junction of Buxton Road and St Johns Road. Following the smash, which occurred at around 10.45am, the driver of the Mini, a woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The force says the driver of the Volkswagen, a 35-year-old man, of Congleton, was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and money laundering.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.”
