SEVERAL snooker stars will be battling it out to lift this year’s International Championship trophy – and the winning prize money is a nice added bonus.

Ding Junhui made his country proud by defeating Englishman Chris Wakelin to win the 2024 title in Nanjing.

And as a result, the Chinese superstar walked away from the competition a whopping £175,000 richer.

But for Junhui to receive another huge payday by the tournament’s conclusion, he may have to overcome Northern Ireland Open champion, Jack Lisowski, and World No1 Judd Trump who both feature.

Saudi Snooker Masters 2025 winner Neil Robertson is also in the mix, as is seven-time World Champion, Ronnie O’Sullivan who is determined to better his quarter-final exit during October’s Xi’an Grand Prix.

This tournament is usually a good marker for players to build on their form ahead of the UK Championship which is considered the second biggest on the calendar after the World Championship.
