Homeowners and renters are finding a new way to cut their monthly costs, with many saying they’re saving ‘loads of money’ thanks to an AI-powered service that takes care of bill switching from start to finish. Rated ‘Excellent’ on Trustpilot, the tool is being praised for removing the stress, time and confusion that often comes with trying to get a fair deal on essential household bills.

With the cost of living still weighing heavily on households, many people have already trimmed back on luxuries like takeaways and unused subscriptions. But experts say one of the biggest money drains often goes unnoticed: staying stuck on out-of-contract energy, mobile and broadband deals that quietly creep up in price over time.

It’s an issue that affects millions, largely because comparing deals is time consuming and suppliers often don’t make it easy to see when customers are overpaying – and that’s where Nous.co comes in. The AI-driven money-saving tool is designed to spot exactly where households are overspending and then help do something about it.

By analysing a few simple details about people’s home and bills, Nous says it works out how much they could be saving and automatically finds fairer deals on their behalf, switching them over without the usual hassle. According to analysis by Nous, a typical household that’s out of contract across key bills could be overpaying by around £781 a year.

This includes roughly £276 on broadband, £240 on mobile contracts and £265.44 on energy bills, the brand says. For many families, that money disappears each year because there’s not enough time or headspace to keep track of renewal dates and changing prices.

Once people share their information, Nous says it monitors bills, identifies when they are paying too much, switches them to better deals automatically and keeps an eye on contracts so they don’t slip into expensive rates again. However, there are other brands out there, too, which offer similar services.

For example, Uswitch is a UK-based price comparison service. It helps consumers save money by comparing prices across various sectors such as energy, broadband, mobile, insurance and even personal finances.

Another is Switcheroo, which does something similar, as the brand searches for better deals, saving shoppers money. They cover energy, broadband and mobile services and help people with potentially cutting costs on monthly expenses.

Nous, however, as previously mentioned, has been rated highly on Trustpilot. One person said: “Brilliant service – saved me loads of money and did all the hard work for me!”

Another wrote: “Nous literally does everything for you, (they) find the best prices then do the switches… and even when you ask a question that isn’t something they can help with, they will direct you the right way. Fabulous.”

A third person removed a star and said: “Was wary but followed an Instagram ad and signed up. Couldn’t help with my energy or mobile phone due to the deals I was already on, but successfully used (it) to switch broadband provider and all went smoothly without hassle!

“Ended up with a cheaper bill, but I might’ve liked a choice of eg. two or three cheapest offers, or even just to have been told more than the finial quote/cost to reassure it was the best available, but the time it saved me is worth that tiny element of wonder of if there was another option. Still waiting to hear about the included rewards/cashback that was included in the new customer contract though.”

Overall, most were pleased, as another said: “Found me a great saving on my energy bill and kept me informed all the way through the process. Hoping they can save me more money on my household bills.”
