In total, 183 people managed to take home a prize, averaging at around £3,379 per person for the total £615,000 won overall.

One person won £100,000, another won £50,000 and six people won £25,000.

Nine scooped £10,000, 15 people bagged £5,000, and more than 100 people took home £1,000.

Premium Bonds are an investment product from National Savings & Investments (NS&I).

Unlike other investments, where investors earn interest or a regular dividend income, bonds are entered into a monthly prize draw where people can win between £25 and £1 million.

Andrew Westhead, NS&I retail director, said: “The quickest way to check if you have won a prize is to use our Premium Bonds prize checker app, check online, or even ask Alexa from the second working day of each month onwards.”
