Drones this morning, November 11, attacked a refinery in Russia’s Orsk, Orenburg Region, which is located 1,500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian media.
It is noted that explosions and a column of smoke were seen in the area of the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery plant, one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.
What is known about “Orsknefteorgsintez”
“Orsknefteorgsintez” is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, located in the city of Orsk, and is part of the structure of JSC “Forteinvest”, one of the key enterprises in the industrial block of the group “Safmar”.
The capacity of the plant for oil processing is 6.6 million tons per year. The enterprise includes 4 primary oil refining units, 2 catalytic reforming units, kerosene hydrotreating unit, diesel fuel hydrotreating unit, oil production, bitumen production.
The set of technological processes allows to produce about 30 types of products: motor gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, jet fuel, bitumen and fuel oil.
