Wilson Sonsini has appointed Jocelyn Chow as a partner in Hong Kong, bolstering the firm’s capabilities in national security and antitrust matters.
Before joining Wilson Sonsini, she spent nearly 13 years at Eversheds Sutherland, where she served as Asia head of competition, trade and foreign investment, rising from trainee solicitor to partner.
“At a time when the East-West geopolitical and regulatory landscape grows ever more complex, I am excited to leverage WSGR’s [Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s] cutting-edge platform to help clients turn global challenges into opportunities,” Chow wrote in a LinkedIn post.
Her practice covers a range of antitrust and trade matters, regularly advising multinational corporations on compliance counselling, internal investigations and government-led investigations and enforcement matters. She also supports regulated transactions involving issues relating to antitrust, economic and trade sanctions, export and import controls, and foreign investment controls.
Chow is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong as well as a registered foreign lawyer in England and Wales. Her clients span sectors including defence, life sciences, advanced engineering and technology, and aviation.
Douglas Clark, managing partner of Wilson Sonsini, said in a press release: “Jocelyn’s extensive knowledge of national security and antitrust matters, along with her strong understanding of the Greater China markets, bolsters our ability to serve clients facing evolving and complex regulatory environments across the globe.”
