The Silver Mountain Experience on the A44 is getting ready for the return of Santa Claus.
The site near Aberystwyth will undergo a festive transformation ready for its Christmas event, running on selected dates from December 13 to 23.
The historic Victorian mine buildings will be changed into elves’ workshops and a Santa’s grotto.
Visitors will join the elves on a walk through the “festive factory”, discovering how they prepare for Christmas Day.
Each family or group will be given a private visit with Santa, where children can share their Christmas wishes and receive a gift for being on the “nice list”.
However, not everything is as it seems, as a certain “well-known green character” has set up home in one of the mine tunnels and is plotting to steal Christmas!
Families can embark on a “heart-warming quest” to melt his frosty heart and also explore his underground home!
Alongside the elves’ workshops, grotto experience and underground Christmas adventure, the site will have many activities available for people to enjoy all day long.
This will include cookie decorating, the Rudolph and Patches’ Treasure Trail, the Fossil Dig, play areas and more.
There will also be a gingerbread house and Victorian sweet shop for people to enjoy.
Photos can also be taken across the site to capture “the perfect festive family moment”.
A spokesperson for the Silver Mountain Experience said: “The Silver Mountain Experience is busily preparing for the return of their most beloved visitor, Santa Claus, for the festive season.
