Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a military base in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of members of the armed forces, according to an official statement.

Strong condemnation of the attack

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement affirming the UAE’s strong condemnation of these criminal acts. It reiterated its firm stance against all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability.

The statement reaffirmed the importance of concerted international efforts to confront these threats and stressed the need to strengthen security in the affected areas.

Solidarity with Nigeria

The UAE expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of Nigeria, and to the families of the victims of the attack. It affirmed its full solidarity with the friendly nation in its fight against terrorism and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured in the attack.

A firm stance against terrorism

This stance is in line with the UAE’s longstanding policy of combating terrorism in all its forms and supporting regional and international stability. This is achieved through cooperation with international partners and by addressing threats to international peace and security.
