A small strip of public land at Bouley Bay in Jersey is set to be transferred to a private developer, in exchange for essential safety improvements.
The land, located in front of the former Water’s Edge Hotel in Bouley Bay, measures about 1.5m (5ft) wide and 20m (66ft) long and will be handed to W.E. (Jersey) Ltd.
In return, the company must carry out work and fund the clearance of the public slip road blocked by a landslide.
Developers must also build a retaining wall and carry out stabilisation works at the base of the rock face, according to an official document, external from the infrastructure minister.
