The German connector specialist Binder is offering LED luminaires that combine white light for workplace illumination, with RGB colours for status indication. The luminaires are available in various colour temperatures, allowing the light to be adapted to an application, from daylight-like illumination for long working periods, to high-contrast light for inspection tasks.
The 4,000 Kelvin white light source ensures uniform, flicker-free illumination. With a high colour rendering index (above 90), it allows the smallest details to be identified during testing and inspection processes.
The status indication uses the full RGBW colour spectrum. White light can indicate that processes are running smoothly. If a fault occurs, a red light can alert personnel. Other colours can be used flexibly – for example, to visualise processes or implement signal codes.
Customised versions can include addressable LEDs, and special wavelengths, such as UV or IR, for inspection and sensor applications.
The IP69K-protected luminaires withstand dust, water, oils, chemicals and intensive cleaning processes. They have stainless-steel components and comply with hygiene standards, making them suitable for use in the food industry. The luminaires have an operating life of up to 50,000 hours. They have M12 connectors and are available in 250, 358 and 412mm lengths, and a choice of transparent or frosted covers.
