A traveler used 303,000 Marriott points to book eight nights at the Park Lane Hong Kong, upgrading via Suite Night Awards. The initial city-view room was swapped for a premium harbor-view room after feedback. Redemption value doubled after upgrade, reaching 1.64 CAD cents per point.

The guest booked a Deluxe City View room using Marriott’s fifth-night-free perk and a 35K certificate, paying for one night out of eight. After applying five Suite Night Awards, they upgraded to a 366 sq ft panoramic-view room; later moved to a Premium King with better harbor visibility. Total retail value exceeded $4,995 CAD.

The hotel, over 50 years old, is gradually renovating rooms. Transit options include the A11 bus or MTR to Causeway Bay. Check-in featured elite-only desk access. Room amenities included separate bathroom zones, ergonomic workspace, and multiple lighting controls. Upgraded rooms sacrificed some closet space but gained superior views.
