PETALING JAYA: Food and beverage (F&B) services café chain operator, Oriental Kopi Holdings Bhd
is expanding into Indonesia through a strategic joint venture between its wholly-owned subsidiary, Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd and PT Era Boga Nusantara (EBN).
EBN, also known as Erajaya Food & Nourishment, forms part of Indonesian retail conglomerate PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk, said Oriental Kopi in a statement.
Separately, Oriental Coffee International has also entered into a Territory Franchise Agreement with Coffee Time Ltd, a Mauritius-based integrated F&B operator, to bring the Oriental Kopi brand to Mauritius.
“As part of the expansion into Indonesia, EBN will hold a 60% equity interest in PT Era Oriental Kopi, while Oriental Coffee International will hold the remaining 40%.
“The collaboration will undertake the establishment, development and operation of Oriental Kopi cafés in Indonesia, with initial expansion focused on the Greater Jakarta area, or Jabodetabek.”
Oriental Kopi said the first outlet is targeted to open by the end of 2026 at Central Park Mall in West Jakarta, one of the city’s most iconic and popular lifestyle and shopping destinations, part of the landmark Podomoro City development.
“The expansion follows Oriental Kopi’s entry into Singapore and represents the Group’s next step in growing its regional presence.”
