Katie Price is celebrating today after her husband of six months was reportedly released from a Dubai jail.

Lee Andrews, who is 43, has been held in the infamous Al Awir prison since he was arrested at Dubai International Airport en route to the UK several weeks ago.

He had been due to appear on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ show in Britain, alongside his new wife, in their first couple’s television interview.

However, Lee failed to arrive, and shortly afterwards Katie declared her husband was ‘missing,’ presumed ‘kidnapped’ in Dubai.

But it later transpired that the self-made businessman had merely been arrested by Dubai police.

It was reported that Lee needed to pay some £140,000 to be released from prison in Dubai, with a source saying he has since been freed, but Katie did not pay a penny to secure his release.

The couple has allegedly spoken on FaceTime, with Katie said to be ready to discuss with Lee just how he ended up in prison, amongst other issues.

A source told The Sun Newspaper that Lee has now returned to the property he had been staying in and wasted no time getting in touch with Katie after his release.

According to the insider, Katie was delighted by the news, particularly as she is understood not to have contributed towards the reported £140,000 penalty linked to his case.

The source also alleged that despite the criticism surrounding Lee, Katie remains deeply attached to him and continues to stand by the relationship.
