Viral Dubai Chocolate Manufacturer Planning Expansion In Quin

The manufacturer of the viral Dubai chocolate bar is planning to expand its operations in Clare.

Drois Limited has warned however that a failure to secure planning permission in a timely fashion could put significant funding at risk.

The company which claims to be the creators of the original Dubai Chocolate Bar has been operating in Quin since March 2025.

Co-founded by three former engineers, the entrepreneurs are now seeking to upgrade their premises to change an existing retail area to a light manufacturing area.

The company has provisionally secured a business expansion grant of €26,179 from the Local Enterprise Office to facilitate the works, but says it’s stalled depending on the grant of planning permission.

Clare County Council is accepting submissions on the proposal until May 28th and is due to make a decision on June 18th.
