Ardee Industries Wins Recycler of the Year 2026

Ardee Industries Limited has marked a significant step forward in its circular economy ambitions after being named Recycler of the Year at the Battery Recycling Excellence Award 2026 during the International Material Recycling Conference in Jaipur.

The accolade recognises the company’s commitment to developing safe, scalable and compliant recycling systems for batteries used in electric vehicles and consumer electronics.

The award celebrates organisations that excel in recovering critical materials from end‑of‑life energy storage products while upholding rigorous standards of safety, traceability and environmental stewardship. For Ardee Industries, the achievement reinforces its growing influence within India’s secondary metals and battery recycling landscape.

Adding to this momentum, the company has earned global validation through the London Metal Exchange’s approval of its pure lead brand, Ardee Lead 9997, as good delivery against the LME lead contract from 23 December 2025. This listing reflects adherence to international benchmarks for quality consistency, responsible production and transparent sourcing. It also strengthens the company’s position among global buyers seeking dependable supplies of recycled lead.

Ardee Industries operates a 7.61‑acre lead recycling facility in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, equipped with rotary furnaces, refining kettles, casting systems and pollution‑control technology. Through sustained investment, the company has expanded its installed capacity from 54,750 metric tonnes per annum in FY 2023 to 104,025 MTPA by FY 2025, supporting India’s heavy reliance on secondary lead. Lead continues to be one of the world’s most widely recycled metals. More than 80% of India’s demand is met by secondary production, mainly from used lead-acid batteries.

Alongside pure lead, the company manufactures tailored lead alloys for sectors including automotive batteries, telecoms, data centres and renewable energy storage. Future plans include recycling plastic scrap from battery processing and expanding into tin and copper waste refining. With proximity to port infrastructure, Ardee Industries is well placed to meet rising export demand across Southeast Asia and South Korea.

This recognition at IMRC 2026 underscores the company’s focus on closing material loops, reducing import dependence and advancing resource‑efficient industrial growth.
