Mariah Carey is in her monochrome era, and every look is more striking than the last. On Friday, April 18, the “Vision of Love” singer put an edgy twist on the classic LBD during a stroll through New York City. Taking notes from the Y2K style book, Carey wore a double-belted black minidress styled with countless eye-catching accessories.
The fitted dress featured a low-cut neckline and a hem that hit just above the Grammy-winning singer’s knee, revealing her sheer black tights underneath. Notably, Carey wore a leather belt with two buckles to accentuate the waist. She kept the leather theme going with a pair of knee-high, block-heel boots and a glossy trench coat with silver hardware.
Carey completed the outfit with chunky black sunglasses, a golden butterfly statement ring, and diamond drop earrings.

On April 16, Carey had two more monochrome fashion moments while attending Tiffany & Co’s Blue Book Gala in New York City. The first look was a sleeveless black dress with a figure-hugging bodice and floor-length skirt. Just beneath the hem, Carey shared a peek at her shimmering pointed-toe heels covered in silver glitter. She styled the look with a silver wristwatch and a diamond necklace.

Carey’s second monochrome look featured an off-the-shoulder gown in vibrant white. She cinched the long-sleeve dress with a gold chain-link belt and styled the outfit with silver heels.
In February, Carey brought the monochrome trend to the Olympics Opening Ceremony, where she performed in a geometric white gown embellished with hundreds of crystals. She completed the lavish ensemble with a dramatic feather boa and over 300 carats of emerald-cut diamonds by Levuma.
Whether it’s a red carpet-ready evening gown or a casual LBD, Carey knows how to make the monochrome look work for any occasion.
