Three Missing after MV-22 Osprey Crashes Near Australia

Search and rescue efforts are underway for three people still missing after a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey crashed off the east coast of Australia.

The Osprey incident occurred at about 4 p.m. local time on Aug. 5. All but three of the 26 personnel on board have been rescued, the Marine Corps said.

The MV-22 was with the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, 31st Marine Expedtionary Unit, which was in Australia taking part in the Talisman Sabre joint military training exercise. The …
