Sudbury letter; Banking on failure – The Sudbury Star

I disagree with the letter, “Bank Group Sets Record Straight”, (Sept. 7, 2016).

The matter of the bank bail-in is in the hands of the federal government and not the Canadian Bankers Association. At this point, we don’t know what the government will do.

How many times have we seen the politicians propose something and then do an about-face or a flip-flop?

You can be sure that if a big bank fails, a lot of people are going to be badly burnt.

The wonderful, rosy proposal the government would have us believe is unrealistic.
