Stolen Xanax; False Impersonation; More: Carmel Police Blotter

Here are some of the incidents Carmel police responded to in the past month.

On August 10, Carmel Police arrested a 74 year old Lake Carmel man after he was stopped for a
Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Inspection. He was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle
with a Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle, a violation. He was
releases on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 10, Carmel Police arrested a 33 year old Carmel man after he was stopped for not stopping at
a stop sign. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor,
and Unlicensed Operator and Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, both violations. He was released on his own
recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 11, Carmel Police arrested a 28 year old Mahopac man after he was stopped for speeding. He
was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed
Operator and Speed in Zone, both violations. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future
court date.

On August 11, Carmel Police arrested Jake Ekizian, 38, of Mahopac after officers responded to a report
of a disabled vehicle and observed what appeared to be cocaine inside the vehicle, along with two open
beer cans. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and
Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, both misdemeanors, and Uninsured Motor
Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Open Container in Motor Vehicle, all violations. He was
released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 13, Carmel Police arrested a 35 year old Lake Peekskill man after he was involved in a
property damage automobile accident. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd
Degree, a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed Operator and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage
Automobile Accident, both violations. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court
date.

On August 14, Carmel Police arrested a 28 year old Mahopac man after he was involved in a property
damage automobile accident. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree,
a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed Operator and Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, both violations. He
was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 14, Carmel Police arrested Isiah Santana, 20, of Carmel after an investigation determined that
Mr. Santana had stolen checks and then cashed them. He turned himself in and was charged with Grand
Larceny in the 4th Degree, a felony. He was arraigned by a judge and released on his own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 14, Carmel Police arrested Victoria Corrado, 19, of Carmel after officers located multiple
fraudulent identifications in her belongings after she was found parked on the side of the road. She was
charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. She was
released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 14, Carmel Police arrested a 21 year old Putnam Valley man after he was stopped for talking
on his cell phone while driving. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree,
a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed Operator and Unlawful Use of a Mobile Phone in Motor Vehicle, both
violations. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 16, Carmel Police arrested Chelsea Akutsu, 19, of Carmel after she was involved in a property
damage automobile accident. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While
Intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or Higher, both misdemeanors. She was released on her own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 19, Carmel Police arrested Jake Ekizian, 38, of Katonah after officers responded to a call of a
suspicious person in a condo complex parking lot and they observed him become involved in a property
damage automobile accident and then attempt to leave the scene. He was charged with Driving While
Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or Higher, both misdemeanors, and Leaving
the Scene of a Property Damage Automobile Accident. He was released on his own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 19, Carmel Police arrested Tori Lannaman, 38, of Beacon after she was released from the
Dutchess County Correctional Facility and it was discovered that she had an active Bench Warrant out of
the Town of Carmel Justice Court. She was arraigned by a judge and released on her own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 19, Carmel Police arrested Daniel Schreiber, 24, of Carmel after officers responded to a
suspicious person in the Putnam Hospital Center parking lot. Officers found three bottles of Xanax in his
vehicle, which were discovered to be stolen. Mr. Schreiber was charged with Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree,
both misdemeanors. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 19, Carmel Police arrested Robert Carlisle, 49, of Carmel after he was involved in a property
damage automobile accident. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving
While Intoxicated – BAC of .18 or Higher, both misdemeanors. He was released on his own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 19, Carmel Police arrested a 29 year old Amherst, NY man after he was stopped for making
an illegal left turn out of a parking lot. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd
Degree, a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed Operator and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, both
violations. There was $300 Police Bail taken and the subject was released pending a future court date.

On August 21, Carmel Police arrested Stephanie Salomon, 22, of Carmel after officers responded to a call
of a disabled vehicle and found the driver to be intoxicated. She was charged with Driving While
Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or Higher, both misdemeanors, and Parked
on Pavement, a violation. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 21, Carmel Police arrested Andrew Campbell, 74, of Mahopac after an unregistered handgun
was found in his safety deposit box of a bank that had closed. He was charged with Criminal Possession
of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a
future court date.

On August 21, Carmel Police arrested a 28 year old Putnam Valley man after he was involved in a
property damage automobile accident. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd
Degree, a misdemeanor, and Unlicensed Operator, a violation. He was released on his own recognizance
pending a future court date.

On August 21, Carmel Police arrested Linda Jordan, 61, of Mahopac after she was found semi-conscious
next to her running vehicle in a business parking lot. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a
felony, and Obstructing an Intersection, a violation. She was arraigned by a judge and released on her
own recognizance pending a future court date.

On August 23, Carmel Police charged Michael White, 16, of Mahopac after an investigation of a trespass of one of the schools in the town determined that Mr. White was one of the perpetrators. He was charged with
Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a
future court date.

On August 25, Carmel Police arrested a 33 year old Carmel man after he was stopped after a hit of a
License Plate Reader. He was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration
and Aggravated Unlawful Operation in the 3rd Degree, both misdemeanors, and Unlicensed Operator,
Uninspected Motor Vehicle, and Cracked Windshield. He was released on his own recognizance pending
a future court date.

On August 25, Carmel Police arrested John Casterella, 19, of Bedford Hills after officers responded to a
call of an intoxicated person at a local business. Mr. Casterella gave officers a fraudulent name during
their investigation and when they discovered that he was lying, he was charged with False Personation.
He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
