Spotsylvania Crime Solvers is seeking information on the following crimes:

  • Yellow Birch Drive, 5200 block, breaking and entering, on July 12, between 3 and 3:45 a.m., the victim went to the garage and found an open door. The victim found an open garage door, heard a voice and upon checking came face to face with a black male. The victim told him to get out, and the suspect ran out. Suspect is about 5’10”, early 20’s, a jheri curl hair style and dark clothing. Missing are two backpacks containing Massaponax High School soccer uniforms. The victim stopped at the WAWA station at Route 1 and Mills Drive on the way to work and saw the suspect inside the store. When the culprit saw the victim, he ran outside. The two backpacks and clothing are valued at $50 each. CFS 17-64160
  • Sunset Road, 6400 block, breaking and entering, on July 11, between 5:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., an unknown person broke into the residence through a door and stole $5 in change. Four used batteries valued at $80 and a new battery valued at $100 were taken from the yard. CFS 17-63870
  • 6404 Jefferson Davis Highway, breaking and entering, between July 13, 2:19 p.m. and July 14, 10:52 a.m., unknown person(s) attempted entry to the warehouse sliding door and caused some damage to the door. Entry was not made. CFS 17-64762
  • WAWA Station, 10060 Jefferson Davis Highway, grand larceny of automobile, on July 12, between 3:53 and 3:55 a.m., an unknown person stole the victim’s blue 2013 Hyundai 4-door sedan from the station. The victim stated that the vehicle was locked and believes that he dropped the keys. In the vehicle was a Samsung Galaxy 6 valued at $150 and a black tri-fold wallet containing eight credit cards. The phone was found behind the Meineke Shop. The vehicle is valued at $15,000. CFS 17-63959
  • Box Oak Court, 9900 block, grand larceny automobile, on July 18, between 12:01 and 9:07 a.m., someone stole a white 2015 Dodge Journey 4-door hardtop from near the residence. In the vehicle were a Betsy Johnson baby bag, a Baby Trend car seat, a red women’s wallet, miscellaneous clothing, a blue baby stroller, a Service Pro lap top computer, four credit-debit cards and $40.   • Heritage Hills Circle, 5500 block, grand larceny automobile, between July 17, 9 p.m. and July 18, 8 a.m., someone stole the unlocked blue 2012 Toyota 4-door from in front of the residence. A set of keys were in the glove box, and the vehicle is valued at $15,000. CFS 17-66052
  • Poplar Fitness, 4971 Quality Drive, on July 18, between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., someone broke the right door window and then stole a pink Apple Mac Pro lap top valued at $600. CFS 17-66331
  • 9900 block Tabard Court, grand larceny from automobile, between July 17 11:30 p.m. and July 18, 4:30 a.m., someone entered the unlocked blue 2017 Subaru 4-door hatchback took a men’s wallet containing nine credit cards and $70. Two cards were used, two were denied, and two are pending. CFS 17-66082
  • American Family Fitness, 10020 Southpoint Parkway, between July 18, 11:21 p.m. and July 19, 12:09 a.m., someone broke the right side window of a black 2005 Toyota Prius 4-door and stole a light pink Coach Purse valued at $200, two credit cards, $43 and the victim’s driver’s license. The window is valued at $100. CFS 17-66366
  • Heritage Hills Circle, 5500 block, grand larceny from automobile, between July 17, 11:59 p.m. and July 18, 10:15 a.m., someone stole a loaded Taurus 9 mm handgun from the inside door pocket of the unlocked blue 2010 Mazda SUV. The firearm is valued at $550. CFS 17-66093
  • Hazelbrook Court, 9600 block, between July 17, 9 p.m. and July 18, 7:30 a.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked black 2005 Hyundai Sonata and stole a Samsung Tablet valued at $200. CFS 17-66044
  • Glenn Brooke Court, 9700 block, grand larceny from automobile, between July 17, 11:30 a.m. and July 18, 8 a.m., someone entered the unlocked green 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and stole a pair of Arnette sunglasses valued at $200. CFS 17-66066
  • Evergreen Circle, 9500 block, grand larceny from automobile, between July 17, 8 p.m. and July 18, 8 a.m., someone entered and rummaged through the unlocked 2013 Dodge Dart 4-door and stole a men’s wallet containing $50 and an Apple IPod valued at $150. The wallet was recovered on the sidewalk minus the money. CFS 17-66058
  • Hazelbrook Court, 9600 block, tamper with a motor vehicle, on July 17, between 5:53 and 6:26 a.m., someone entered the victim’s two unlocked vehicles while parked near the residence. Nothing was taken, but both vehicles were ransacked. The vehicles are a silver 2005 Pontiac sedan and a black 2015 Dodge Durango. CFS 17-66033
  • Muvico Cinemas, 51 Towne Centre Blvd., grand larceny from building, on July 14, between 3:15 and 3:25 p.m., someone stole the victim’s red Coach Wristlet wallet while watching a movie. In the wallet were several credit cards and $100. CFS 17-64952
  • Durham Drive, 200 block grand larceny from person, between July 15, 5:03 p.m. and July 17, 6:44 p.m., the victim attended a cook-out with friends and two guests. The victim wore a firearm and stayed overnight. When the victim awoke the firearm was missing. It is a FNH USA handgun, model FNS 9, 9 mm, desert tan slide and black Polymer frame. It was loaded with a magazine and 18 bullets. The gun is valued at $500. CFS 17-65889
  • Q Ball Café and Billiards, 960 Bragg Road, petit larceny from building, on July 12, between 9:18 and 10:11 p.m., an unknown white male opened the cash box of the Virtual Dart Game and removed the dollars and left. He was wearing a black shoulder bag, a Redskins hat with yellow rim and a light blue shirt. A possible car is a white van with a Virginia tag. CFS 17-64265
  • Bartley Court, 9800 block, petit larceny from automobile, between July 12, 3:30 p.m. and July 13, 4:50 a.m., someone entered the unlocked vehicle and took a vial containing 45 Suboxone pills and 50 $1 bills. A pair of sunglasses, a remote door opener, a .45 caliber firearm and ammunition were visible and not taken. CFS 17-64496
  • Luau Court, 4500 block, petit larceny from automobile, between July 17, 6:30 p.m. and July 18, 6:05 p.m., someone entered the unlocked 2006 BMW and took two new brake rotors valued at $106 and one set of brake shoes valued at $27 that were purchased at Advanced Auto Parts, and $16 from the center console.   • Evergreen Circle, 9500 block, petit larceny from automobile, between July 17, 7 p.m. and July 18, 8 a.m., someone entered the unlocked black 2005 Ford Explorer and stole 100 $1 bills. CFS 17-66307
  • FAS MART, 2515 Salem Church Road, counterfeit money, on July 14, between 10 a.m. and noon, two females purchased beer and gasoline and then paid with two counterfeit $20 bills. One is white with platinum blonde hair, 5’6”, 130 lbs. The other is mixed race, mid-twenties, 5’6”, 230 lbs., with a very unkempt appearance. CFS 17-065126
  • Union Bank and Trust, 10131 Jefferson Davis Highway, on July 14, between 9:20 and 10:03 p.m., a bank employee found a skimmer device and camera on an ATM. It is not known when the device was placed. CFS 17-64976
  • Union First Bank, 4109 Plank Road, fraud, between July 16, 1:03 p.m., and July 17, 7:05 a.m., someone used the victim’s debit card account to withdraw $480 in Warrenton and $500 in Alexandria. CFS 17-65784
  • Woodland View Drive, 11900 block, fraud, between July 16, 8:27 a.m. and July 17, 1:46 p.m., someone used the victim’s ATM card information to make a withdrawal in Winchester and one in Centerville, totaling $986. CFS 17-66154
  • Brock Road and Old Block House Lane, vandalism, between July 10, 5:30 p.m. and July 11, 8 a.m., someone went into the cornfield and cut down corn stalks low and close to the ground. Damage cost is estimated to be $500. CFS 17-63728
  • Wilton Lane, 5200 block, vandalism, between July 14, 8:30 p.m. and July 15, 7 a.m., someone cut the sidewall tire of the victim’s white 2009 Nissan. The tire is nearly new and is valued at $110. CFS 17-65097
  • Wilton Lane, 5200 block, vandalism, between July 15, 7 p.m. and July 16, 9:30 a.m., someone cut the right rear truck tire of the blue 2001 Dodge Ram and a garden hose. The tire is valued at $150 and the hose is valued at $15. CFS 17-65411
  • Creek Lane, 200 block, on July 14, between 6:34 p.m. and 7:06 p.m., someone damaged the sliding glass door on the back of the house. Cost of the door is $250. CFS 17-064926
  • Mallard Landing Drive, 2200 block, vandalism, between July 17, 4:30 p.m. and July 18, 6 a.m., someone threw rocks shattering the two side windows and the windshield of the 1994 Kenworth Dump truck and cracked two turn signal lenses. Damage cost is $820. CFS 17-66035
  • Union First Market Bank, 5510 Morris Road, robbery, on July 24, between 12:09 and 12:13 p.m., a black male demanded money from a cashier. He was given money and went towards Route 1. No other information at this time. CFS 17-68226
  • Studardan Lane, 4400 block, breaking and entering, on July 22, between 7:45 and 10:02 p.m., someone located the victim’s hiding place of the spare house key and entered the residence, stole the victim’s Smith and Wesson SD40 handgun valued at $300 and a Cobra 12 gauge shotgun valued at $300.   • Retreat Lane, 4700 block, breaking and entering, on July 24, between 5 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., an unknown person entered the locked residence and stole a bottle of a peach wine valued at $20, overturned a television, searched a closet, and rummaged personal papers and the bed. Nothing else was taken. CFS 17-68317
  • Rustic View Lane, 11700 block, breaking and entering, on July 25, between 1 and 5:20 p.m., someone entered the residence through a door and stole $2,000 from a drawer. CFS 17-68686
  • JC Penney Company, 3102 Plank Road, grand larceny from building, between July 19, 5:20 p.m. and July 20, 1:48 p.m., someone entered the employees’ locker room and stole a gray wallet with white flowers print. Inside were a USAA Visa Debit card, driver’s license, military identification card and $275. CFS 17-67545
  • Marshall Library, 8800 Courthouse Road, grand larceny from building, on July 24, between 6:38 and 7:05 p.m., the victim left a white Galaxy S5 with a black case, and a book bag on top of a table. When the victim returned the phone was missing. The victim saw a suspicious, black male, 5’5”, 300 lbs., walking around earlier who was gone when the victim returned to the table. The phone is valued at $300. CFS 17-68353
  • Andrews Mill Lane, 9400 block, grand larceny from automobile, between July 19, 7:44 p.m., and July 20, 7:14 a.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked white 2015 Ford pickup and stole $20 from a wallet left in the left door pocket and a loaded .40 caliber Stoeger Cougar pistol valued at $300.   • Alorica, 10300 Spotsylvania Ave., grand larceny from automobile, on July 19, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., the victim left the red vehicle unlocked, and someone stole a new multicolor Coach purse valued at $300 from the back seat and six medications valued at $100. CFS 17-66530
  • Weis Stores, 7100 Salem Fields Blvd., grand larceny from automobile, between July 22, 9 p.m. and July 23, 8:30 a.m., someone entered the unlocked beige 2008 Dodge Caliber and stole a brown leather purse valued at $15, a black wallet valued at $10, a driver’s license, a Navy Federal Credit Union Debit card and $180.   • Wagon Drive, 6500 block, grand larceny motorcycle, on July 20, between 3 and 8 a.m., someone stole the victim’s silver 2005 Suzuki GSX-R 750cc’s with an extended arm, from in front of the porch. The alarm was set and the forks were locked. It is valued at $7,500. CFS 17-66799
  • Twin Bow Market, 9800 Courthouse Road, petit larceny shoplift, on July 23, between 3:30 and 3:35 p.m., a black male wearing a large white t-shirt entered the store and picked six hats, stuffed them under the t-shirt, and then exited the store. The hats were bulging through his t-shirt. He boarded an older model dark green BMW. Hats are valued at $41.94. CFS 17-67962
  • Chic Fil-A, 9900 Southpoint Parkway, petit larceny auto parts, between July 20, 5 p.m. and July 21, 10 p.m., someone stole the victim’s Wal-Mart brand battery from black 1995 Ford pickup while parked in the employees’ parking area. The battery is valued at $150. CFS 17-67131
  • Aldi, 5099 Jefferson Davis Highway, petit larceny auto parts, between July 24, 7:45 p.m. and July 25, 8:22 p.m., someone stole the rear personalized license plate from the victim’s car. Registration value is $25. CFS 17-87666
  • Lewiston and Ryland Payne roads, shoot missile at moving auto, between July 22, 11:50 p.m. and July 23, 12:15 a.m., someone fired a bb gun at the victims’ 2005 dodge 4-door sedan, striking the right rear door. Property damage is $400. CFS 17-67926
  • Unit block Teton Drive, fraud, on July 21, between 5:48 and 6:37 p.m., the victim received a call inquiring if the victim was interested in employment. The victim was asked to send a money service transfer from Wal-Mart in the amount of $2,485, and the victim complied. The victim received a letter from the scammer containing a refund check for the money. The victim attempted to cash it and the bank teller said it was fraudulent. CFS 17-67334
  • Stoney Creek Drive, 2000 block, fraud, on July 25, between 6:09 and 7:18 p.m., the victim received a call from a foreign-speaking male. He told the victim of being a recipient of a $9,000 grant from the U.S. Funds department. All the victim had to do is pay $250 processing fee. The victim complied and then was told to pay $400 tax. The victim complied, and the male then mentioned $500 for attorney’s fees. The victim became suspicious and asked to speak with a supervisor. The victim notified the bank because the fraudster had the victim’s account information to deposit the money. CFS 17-68722
  • North Scottwood Lane, 11200 block, fraud, on July 25, between 10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., the victim’s banker, Universal Federal Credit Union, notified the victim regarding pending transactions in Roanoke. The victim denied being there, and the card was cancelled and another issued by the credit union. The victim is in possession of the old card. CFS 17-68624
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods, 3102 Spotsylvania Mall Road, counterfeit money, on July 21, between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., someone made a purchase and paid with a counterfeit $50. CFS 17-67524
  • Briarbend Court, 5300 block, vandalism, on July 21, between 3:45 and 4:15 p.m., the victim noticed the driver’s door window of the red 2015 Chevrolet was shattered while it was parked on the property. CFS 17-67300
  • Lidl Grocery, 5455 Plank Road, vandalism, on July 22, at 10:01 p.m., the security officer saw a dark SUV ram the gate on the property, damaging it. The rude and forceful white male driver began to rant and rave about religion and ISIS. He left towards Route 3. Damage to the chain link fence is $2,000. CFS 17-67771
  • Taft Drive, 11800 block, vandalism, between July 24, 8:16 p.m. and July 25, 9 a.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked automobile and rummaged through it. Nothing was taken. CFS 17-68765
