Perdue Farms donates $10K for outdoor classroom at Museum of Aviation

The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins announced Monday that Perdue Farms has donated $10,000 towards the construction of an outdoor environmental classroom.

A release says the classroom will feature solar panels, a wind turbine, an herb garden, a water filtration system, greenhouse, and weather wall.

The museum says it will be self-sustainable and feature activities for students in grades 2-8.

The release says the museum foundation has already purchased the solar panels and wind turbine, but is still seeking $50,000 in order to finish the project by its target completion date of February 2018.
