Kia Motors To Meet Prospective Dealers Through Roadshow In India

Kia Motors, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors, will host a series of roadshows in India to meet prospective dealers through August and September 2017.

The South Korean company which announced an investment of $1.1 billion to set up a manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh will start selling cars in India by mid-2019.

The Kia Dealer Roadshow offers prospective dealers the opportunity to meet executives of Kia Motors India and get to understand about the cars due to go on sale in India.

Also, dealers attending the Kia Dealer Roadshow will learn about the company’s business strategy in India as well as its plans for establishing its new Indian dealership network.

The Kia Dealer Roadshow will visit four of the country’s largest cities: Delhi (JW Marriott Aerocity, August 8-9, 2017), Mumbai (ITC Maratha, August 16-17, 2017), Bangalore (Taj West End, August 23-24, 2017), Kolkata )Taj Bengal, September 1, 2017).

In April 2017, Kia Motors signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh state government to set up a new manufacturing facility in Anantapur District. The plant is spread over 23 million square feet (536 acres) and will include facilities for stamping, welding, painting and assembly.

Kia Motors India is expected to launch a compact sedan and compact SUV, particularly for the Indian market.

Kia Motors India has begun early and seems to be very serious about the current fifth largest automobile market in the world. It is expected that India will move to the third largest automobile market by 2020, and Kia’s strategy to launch vehicles in 2019 is well planned.
