IATA Calls On EC To Regulate Airport Monopolies

As the European Commission (EC) develops its Aviation Strategy for Europe and considers revisions to its Airport Charges Directive, IATA called on the EC to strengthen its economic regulation of European airport monopolies, claiming increasing private ownership of European airports is enabling airport passenger-fees revenue to be rerouted into investors’ returns.
