ABUJA – THE Federal Government yesterday announced that the sum of N41 billion has been set aside to settle the entitlements of workers in the aviation sector that are affected in the ongoing concession of nation.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika who disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting said that all the airports in the country will be concessioned as the Federal government will not be able to fund infrastructure from the national budget.
He said that the Minister of Finance has been given instruction to pay the affected workers, adding that the process of payment will commence soon.
The Minister said that for the first time in the history of the country, the airport was certified by the international body adding that the NIMET has been issued with certificate by the International Metturlogical Agency.
