EAST KINGSTON — A special bulky waste pick-up day is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 25.
Acceptable Materials: Tables, chairs, couches, beds, mattresses, bedsprings, small demolition or construction materials cut in lengths of less than 3’, carpet cut in squares of no longer than 3’x3’.
Unacceptable Materials: Appliances, automobile parts, gas grills, paints, solvents, lawnmowers/snowblowers, tires, air conditioners, stoves, yard waste, computers, monitors, printers, audio/video equipment, hazardous waste, additional household trash.
All materials curbside must be curbside by 7 a.m.
A special white goods/electronic waste pick-up day is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 16, at a cost of $15 per item. Residents must call again.
By Friday, Oct. 6, contact Waste Management at 1-800-972-4545 to arrange for pick-up of items and to report your sticker numbers.
All items must be curbside by 7 a.m., Oct. 16. and will be picked up by a separate truck. Only items that have been called in advance with sticker numbers will be collected.
Acceptable Items: Stoves, gas grills (with gas tank removed), lawnmowers, snowblowers* dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, computers, monitors, TV’s, printers, audio/video equipment.**
*Lawnmovers and snowblowers must have oil and gas tanks removed.
** All items must have a sticker purchased from the Town Clerk at a cost of $15 per item.
Items not accepted: Air conditioners, furniture, mattresses, couches, wood items, paints/solvents, automobile parts, and construction materials.
