Day after surveillance photos released, Carson sheriff nabs suspect

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – A day after the Carson City Sheriff’s Office released surveillance camera photographs of a suspect in several vehicle and commercial burglaries in Carson City, the sheriff’s office believes it has arrested its suspect.

Jose Celedon, 24, of Carson City was booked on several charges. The investigation continues and other arrests could be made, the sheriff’s office said.

As a result of Wednesday news media coverage, detectives were tipped to Celedon. As they arrived at his home Thursday in the 2000 block of Dori Street, he jumped out of a window and ran, the sheriff’s office said. They chased him to the 2400 block of Carmine Street and took him into custody after a brief struggle.

They said Celedon is cooperating with detectives and is being linked to several burglaries.

The tipster will get $500 from Secret Witness.
