Countries Back ICAO Carbon-Offsetting Plan – Aviation Week


WASHINGTON—Participation by countries in a carbon-offsetting scheme being developed to help aviation achieve carbon-neutral growth will be voluntary initially, a proposal expected to go before the ICAO Assembly said.

This is according to the proposed text of a resolution that is expected to be presented at the ICAO General Assembly in October.
