Azerbaijan’s Civil Aviation Administration took part in a meeting of EASA/EaP
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The second meeting of the working group on the project of support to the aviation administrations of the states of Eastern Cooperation & Central Asia (EASA/EaP) has been held in Kiev, Ukraine.
The State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan informs that the Administration was also represented at the meeting.
“Information on the work done over the past year was presented for the meeting participants. Besides, future steps within the program were discussed and projects of seminars, developed by the EASA team for each participating state, were considered,” SCAA said.
In the course of discussions special attention was paid to the exchange of information and experience among the participants in the matters of adaptation of the European rules to the national legislation of states, regulations allowing joint operation of Western and Eastern aircrafts, development of rules on regulation of operations and registration of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), as well as in addressing the deficiencies identified within the universal ICAO program on inspection of flight safety by states,” SCAA said in a statement.
Working group’s first meeting was held in Kishinev, Moldova, last July. The four-year project is funded by the European Council and its main objective is to assist aviation authorities of the participating states in ensuring a sustainable system of civil aviation administration and harmonization of rules with European standards in the field of flight safety and aviation security. The project also includes a component of aviation security cargo and mail.
