GST Impact: Tax rate on biz class air ticket now at 12%

Under the GST regime, the applicable tax rate on economy class passenger tickets has been reduced from 6% to 5% (non-creditable for goods), while the tax rate on business class has been increased from 9% to 12% with input tax creditable for both goods and services procured by airlines, said the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha on Tuesday. AAI inks pact with Uttarakhand government

Going ahead with its commitment towards the responsibility of creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in the country, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed an MoU with Government of Uttarakhand last week and joined hands with Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) to develop the civil aviation sector in the state, said an Aviation Ministry release on Monday.
