The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) held its inaugural Bursary Award Programme on September 14 at its Head Office. Seven children of employees at the Authority were given monetary awards for their successful performances at the recent National Grade Six Assessment Examinations.In attendance were the Director General, Lt. Col. (ret’d) Egbert Field, Director of Finance and Administration, Col. Jawahar Persaud, General Counsel, Amanza Desir, other Directors, Staff and the awardees, a release from the GCAA said.The Authority will continue to provide monetary contribution to the awardees throughout their Secondary School tenure provided that the students and parents meet the criteria set by the GCAA, the release said.
