Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has confirmed that India’s biggest automobile extravaganza Auto Expo 2018 will be held in the second week of February 2018. The Motor Show is scheduled from 9-14 February 2018 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. ACMA also confirms that the Components Show will be held parallely at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 8-11 February 2018. The joint inauguration of Auto Expo 2018 will be held on 8th February 2018. Going by the rich history of increasing foot fall and rise in ticket sales, organizers have decided to add one additional day, extending the world-class experience to auto-enthusiasts. Auto Expo – The Motor Show and Components Show, jointly organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), has been successfully establishing itself as a key Global Auto Show in the region. The Auto Expo mirrors the rapid growth of the Indian automotive industry and aptly showcases the grandeur of the industry. The event has developed into a platform for the automotive industry to exhibit its prowess in manufacturing, R&D, and in future mobility concepts and designs.
Almost all top-manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Renault India, Hero Motor Corp, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), TVS Motor Company will be showcasing its upcoming models for the next calendar year and also some concepts which will make it to production over coming years. Expect company’s to have a strong focus on electric vehicles. However, we expect company’s like Bajaj Auto, Royal Enfield and Volkswagen Group including Audi India and Skoda Auto India to show no presence at the 2018 Auto Expo.
On the product front, 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is probably the most anticipated unveil at the auto expo followed by Hyundai Santro’s replacement which in all possibility might break covers in February 2018. Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018 which will be spread across 1,85,000 sq mtrs with all automobile majors participating in 14 indoor exhibition halls, is all set to whet the appetite of the auto-enthusiasts with exciting new launches and displays. Overseas delegations from around 15 countries, to explore market and investment opportunities, have already confirmed their participation.
