Airbus Outlines Russia-CIS Commercial Demand

Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast—Airbus forecasts demand for 1,200 passenger airliners by Russian and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) through 2036.

With their economies expected to grow 2% year-over-year and populations traveling more, the European aircraft manufacturer is looking to expand its footprint in the region, after already taking 50% of the market share in Russia for commercial airliners.
